Dog & Puppy Sitting in Mississauga | Dog Sitter In Your Neighborhood

Flying out of Pearson for business or vacation? The hardest part isn’t packing, it’s figuring out what happens to your dog while you’re gone. They’ll spend time in a kennel, with unfamiliar smells, constant noise, and zero personal attention.

Since 2005, Loving Paws has solved this problem for pet parents in Mississauga. Our professional in-home dog and puppy sitting from Port Credit lakefront condos to Meadowvale family homes, Streetsville neighborhoods to City Centre high-rises keeps your dog in their territory with in-home care.

Trusted In-Home Care

Keeps your dog comfortable in their own Port Credit, Clarkson, or Meadowvale home, avoiding kennel anxiety and unfamiliar environments.

Personalized Medical & Routine Support

Our PSI-certified sitters handle medications, post-surgery care, and feeding schedules exactly as prescribed for seniors, puppies, or medically sensitive pets.

Consistent Sitter & Updates

Your dog sees the same professional every visit, with detailed photo updates and health notes, ensuring trust and routine across Mississauga neighborhoods.

Why Mississauga Pet Owners Need In-Home Sitting

Living near Pearson means you travel more than most. Business trips to Vancouver. Family visits to overseas relatives. Vacation flights during March Break. Your dog can’t come, but they also can’t handle traditional boarding.

Through in-home sitting service, your Mineola dog stays home while you’re in Montreal. Your Clarkson puppy maintains routine while you’re in Florida. Your Sheridan senior gets medications on schedule while you’re stuck in Toronto traffic, missing your connection.

No transport to boarding facilities. No kennel anxiety. Just professional care in familiar surroundings.

Mississauga Neighborhoods We Serve

Waterfront: Port Credit heritage homes and condos, Mineola established streets, Lorne Park estates, Clarkson residential neighborhoods, Lakeview properties near the lake

Urban Core: City Centre high-rises surrounding Square One, Hurontario corridor apartments, Cooksville diverse housing from condos to houses

Western Suburbs: Erin Mills planned communities with yards, Streetsville village character, Meadowvale family neighborhoods, Sheridan near college campus

From Credit River trails, where you walk your Lab, to Pearson-adjacent neighborhoods convenient for frequent flyers, we cover all of Mississauga.

Why Mississauga Chooses Loving Paws

What Your Dog Gets In Sitting

Feeding Matches To Home Routine

Puppies eating four times daily continue four times daily portions, measured, timing maintained. Seniors on prescription kidney diets get exactly that food at exact times. Picky eaters accustomed to specific preparation get it prepared specifically.

Medication Administration

Pills are administered at prescribed times using methods that work, hidden in cheese, crushed in food, or given directly. Insulin injections for diabetics at exact intervals with dosage confirmed. Eye drops, ear medications, and topical treatments are applied properly. Post-surgery, antibiotics maintaining the schedule your vet specified.

Every dose is documented with a timestamp. If any emergency occur reported immediately.

Exercise Calibrated to Breed and Age

Border Collies in Port Credit don’t sit in your condo going crazy. Credit River trail sessions burn energy appropriately. Senior Beagles in Cooksville don’t get forced on long walks, gentle neighborhood strolls matching their arthritis. Puppies in Lorne Park don’t get exhausted from short, frequent outings, building stamina gradually.

Mental Engagement Based on Personality

High-drive dogs get puzzle toys, training sessions, and interactive play. Mental exhaustion prevents destructive boredom. Calm dogs get companionship, gentle interaction, and quiet presence. Toy-motivated dogs get fetch, tug, and chase games. Food-motivated dogs get treat-dispensing puzzles.

Health Monitoring Every Single Visit

Visual checks for limping, eye discharge, lethargy, appetite changes, and unusual behavior. Immediate documentation and reporting if anything seems wrong. Emergency transport authorization if serious.

Personalized Communication While You’re Away

Every visit generates: daily detailed notes describing food consumption, bathroom activity, behavior observations, and anything notable requiring attention.

Premium upgrade: text messages with photos sent immediately after each visit. Open your phone in your London hotel and see your Mineola dog sleeping contentedly on the couch.

You’re never wondering. You’re always informed.

Home Security Integrated

Dog care doesn’t happen in isolation from home protection. While managing your dog, we’re managing your property, such as mail collection and basic maintenance.

Ready-Key secure access eliminates hidden keys under planters or lockboxes that anyone could find. Every entry logged. Every exit is verified as secure.

Dogs We Specialize in Mississauga

Puppies Still Learning Everything

8-16 weeks old in Meadowvale or Sheridan need bathroom breaks every 2-3 hours minimum. We provide frequent outdoor access immediately after eating, after waking, and after playing. Positive reinforcement when they eliminate outside.

Senior Dogs Managing Decline

12+ years old in Lorne Park or Streetsville, managing arthritis, cognitive dysfunction, reduced mobility, incontinence, vision/hearing loss. They need patience, routine, gentle exercise, maintaining mobility without pain, frequent bathroom access, and medication precision.

We provide all of that without frustration when they move slowly or have accidents.

Anxious Dogs With Trauma History

Rescues from shelters, dogs with abandonment issues, separation anxiety sufferers, and noise-phobic dogs terrified of storms. They need consistency, patience, and understanding. Calm handling reduces stress instead of increasing it.

Medical Cases Requiring Expertise

Diabetic dogs need insulin twice daily with precise timing and dosage. Heart disease patients need activity restriction and monitoring. Kidney disease cases on special diets and hydration management.

Post-surgical recovery following procedures included restricted activity, wound monitoring, medication administration, and complication observation. We provide medical-level care with the experience, precision, and responsibility these cases require.

Multi-Dog Households With Dynamics

Three dogs in your Erin Mills home don’t eat at the same pace; one needs separation to prevent food aggression. Two senior dogs and a puppy have completely different needs. We handle feeding, supervision, and routines individually, so balance is maintained, and no new behavioral problems develop while you’re away.

Reasons to join our team and earn a good income

WE WORK HARD TO SUPPORT OUR DOG WALKERS, AND PET & HOUSE SITTERS

  • Work with us as one of our sub-contractors by driving to the homes of our clients to provide dog walking, pet sitting, medical care, and house sitting services.

  • The amount of work depends on the number of requests we receive from clients for our services, and that number keeps on growing as more and more pet parents and home owners learn of our services.

  • We diligently maintain our website and routinely work to ensure strong Web Search Engine Optimization so that our website appears top-most on web pages for search results.

  • Requests for our services come from clients who come to our website and submit quote or reservation requests. We then assign the work directly to you.

  • All work is paid, and we pay one of the pet care industry’s best rates for walking dogs, pet sitting, and house sitting.

  • No purchase of any “kit” is required to work for us. We do not charge any fee as a condition of working with us. We are not a pyramid-type organization.

  • There is much flexibility in terms of where, when, and how work is done, as long as the needs of our clients and their pets are met, and as long as what is paid for is done (we guarantee the duration of each visit, and that the visit will take place). Most clients are easy going about the services they need. Some clients are more specific; e.g. if their pet needs medication.

  • Aside from a computer with internet access, cell phone, and a vehicle that you need to work with us, we provide everything else you need to do the work, and for free: our admin software tool, access to our database, personalized email address, your insurance coverage and bonding, all the necessary printed materials, a professional binder for all documents, 4 handbooks covering medical care, procedures, and policies topics, and brochures/posters for networking.

  • We generally sponsor one major pet-related event annually; e.g. Pet Expo, and expect you will attend with us.

  • We put you in touch with new clients after they accept our quotes or existing clients after they reserve our services. Essentially, we pre-screen each assignment request to ensure it is valid before asking you to decide whether or not you want to take it on.

  • You can reduce your taxable income on your annual income tax filing with the Canada Revenue Agency by claiming eligible expenses for working as a sub-contractor, for using space where you live for office / admin work, and for using your vehicle for work.
  • We provide service every day of the year, especially on weekends and holidays when people tend to go away, and we pay 1.5X the normal rate for work done on a holiday.

  • You will interact with kind, animal-loving people who will appreciate and welcome the services you will provide, and who will trust you with their homes, belongings and their living pet(s).

  • You will have a territory and only be expected to drive to the homes of clients who live within typically 15-km from your home. We pay extra if you need to drive further (unless you agree to a larger territory when you join our team).

  • Walking dogs leads to getting exercise and the fresh are is as good for you as it is for the dogs; count on your health improving and not being stuck in a windowless office cubicle.

  • You will be pleasantly greeted at front doors by many pets that will be happy to see you and to also give you lots of unconditional love, affection and attention in return for just enough simple food and water, and all the play time and TLC you can afford.

  • You will experience improvements to your stress levels … numerous studies show that spending time with animals is relaxing and beneficial to human health.

  • You will learn about pet health and what it takes to become one of the region’s most respected, professional pet sitters.

  • You will have the opportunity to grow with us … we are increasingly called upon for our dog walking, pet sitting, medical care, and house sitting services. We provided our services to thousands of clients in the greater Ottawa region since 2005 and in Mississauga since 2012. Our goal is to reach more and more communities as we move forward.

  • We work on a very personalized level and are always available. We answer questions and solve problems quickly, and we invite suggestions for change and improvement regularly.

  • We have clear and concise policies and procedures so you will never have to guess about what you should or should not do.

  • We provide 4 detailed Orientation, Emergency, Procedures, and Policies Handbooks. Job shadowing and we continues with on-the-job coaching and accessibility.

  • We provide continuing education opportunities relating to all areas of the pet care industry.

If you love interacting with and giving care to animals …
we and our clients … and their pets … can’t wait to hear from you.
