We can provide this service as a stand-alone service, as an add on service to an existing pet sitting assignment.
> The drive to and from your home to set things up. > Airing out of the home. > Checking that the air conditioning or heating system is functioning. > Adjusting the thermostat (air conditioning or heat) to a comfortable living temperature. > Purchasing select grocery items for something fresh to eat when returning home.* > Purchasing some fresh flowers to greet you upon your return home.* > Purchase of the current newspaper for your return.* > Turning on specific lights, e.g., the exterior lights, if you plan on returning home at night. > Ensuring your dishwasher has been started if you left in a rush with dirty dishes in the dishwasher. > Ensuring trash and recycling bins have been taken out and that they have been returned to your home, not left at the curb. > Ensuring your contractor has removed snow from your driveway and walkway, if you are arriving home during winter. > Turning on your main water supply valve, and flushing out the hot / cold water lines through all faucets / toilets. > Reactivating the ice maker in your freezer. > Energizing your hot water tank. > Opening shutters, drapes, and/or blinds. > Plugging in accessible, unplugged appliances and/or electronics equipment that were unplugged before your departure (e.g. TVs, VCRs, DVD players, home theater / sound systems, telephones, microwave, lamps, computers, stereos). > Checking that clocks are displaying correct time, and resetting any if required.

> From 1 day a week to 7, and in any combination, e.g., every Tuesday and Thursday. > Normally occur between 8 AM and 8 PM (visits before 8 AM or after 8 PM, or overnight, are possible). > Common durations are 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes (longer visits, adding 15-minute increments, are possible) > 1 to 4 visits per day are common (more are possible). > Any start time for a visit is possible. > Frequency, duration, and start times of visits are guided by the type and number of pets, and their needs. |
